Dr. James “Buzzy” McNair is considering running for a seat in the U.S. Senate on the Republican ticket against senator Blanche Lincoln. Doctor McNair very proudly lets everyone know his views are strictly Conservative Republican. He looks forward to the day when the principles of the Republican party can be embraced by this country for the well being of it’s citizens.
Doctor McNair is happily married to Ginger McNair, who works hand-in-hand along side him in all his endeavors, including his medical practice. In total, they have five children and two grandchildren. He was born, raised, and recieved most of his medical training in Arkansas. The McNair’s are very active participant’s in their childrens' lives and activities. They also have been foster parents and Doctor McNair Has volunteered as a “Big Brother” in a ministry involving the inner city of Little Rock.
In the field of medicine, Doctor McNair did his undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he was on the honor roll and a member of ODK. He earned his Medical Doctorate at the University of Arkansas of Medical Sciences in Little Rock. His internship was in San Francisco General in California. His residency was at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Doctor McNair proudly served his country as a captain in the Medical Corps for the United States Army at Fort Benning in Georgia. He is a medical doctor and is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Doctor McNair has broadened his practice to include the horizon of the healing arts. He received his degree at the Capital University in Washington D.C. and graduated in 2001.
Doctor McNair is very active in his community as he and his wife currently serve as volunteer firefighter’s and first responders with the Pine Snag Lobo Fire Department in Cleburne County. He also encourages his children to be involved in their community and the McNair’s are starting a junior fire Department of which four of his children (12-17) are members. “Arkansas is a great place to live and raise a family” Doctor McNair expresses. “I not only enjoy its natural beauty and recreational activities, but I contribute my time to making our community a better place.”
Doctor McNair is a humanitarian. In 2004 he participated in a trip to Guatemala. He, his wife, and his two sons spent one week, putting in ten hour days. Over 400 glasses were dispensed with Doctor McNair assuming most of the financial responsibility and expenses. One momorable event of the trip was when a twelve year old boy, for the first time, after treatment, was able to see the color of his mother’s eyes.
Doctor McNair’s hobbies include writing, lecturing, fishing, running, snow skiing, water skiing, ranching, farming, and spending quality time with his family.
Doctor McNair feels that it is time for Americans to step up and be accountable. It is not too late! His view of the senate race is that he is responsible as an American citizen to do his part to help the economy and help America stay strong and free. He believes in the old-fashioned philosophy of truth, commitment, and keeping his word and he pledges availability to his Arkansas citizens, he will serve you proudly.
Doctor McNair will be happy to share his views on the current issues, starting with health care. Who better to explain current health care than an established, experienced doctor? Doctor McNair believes that a government –run health care plan would be modeled after, and would be an extension of the existing health care program. Restricting private enterprise will translate to simply fewer doctors and fewer hospitals. Tens of thousands of jobs will be lost, and in reality, it will be the the patient that is left behind. Expanded government control of health care will cause huge tax increases and a decrease in the quality and availability of care. There is a major question that needs to be asked all around the country. With government control of health care, how can we know that care and services will not be rationed? The reality is that we, as American citizens, cannot. Doctor McNair remembers as a military doctor and a private physician, the un-kept promises of government , in regards to health-care. In keeping up with medical laws and changes in his medical practice today, he is forced to follow federal guidelines and in doing so he see’s the cold, hard truth about health care rationing. Doctor McNair states, “ the best medical care in the world can be best with community and church based volunteer services and less government control, not more. As an employer , as I shop every year for group health insurance for my staff, I am appalled to find health insurance cost’s more than my payroll each month, which makes it impossible for employers to provide health care benefits. It limits the ability to give raises to hard-working citizens. Health care belongs belongs between the health-care provider and the patients right to choose. In choice, you can choose your provider, your treatment, and a care plan that fits the individuals need, because we are individuals, not clones.” Doctor McNair was there when medicare came into play. He saw the bait and he sees the trap now. Americans should be given quality, affordable health care and have a choice of public or private.instead of so-called “free” government regulated health care, which is not free at all, given to the people they consider to be qualified to receive it…. We need a sliding scale on pricing. We don’t need the government as a watchdog. We need affordable health plans provided with fair rules for all. Government controlled health care would be very similar to the Canadian health care system that is in progress now. If that style health care works so well, why did Belinda Stronach, former member of the Canadian parliament, come to the United States in 2007 for breast cancer surgery? If the world envies our medical innovations and treatments, why would we want to take steps backwards to become more like them? We need a health care system that puts control of spending in the hands of individuals. We also support making health insurance tax deductible for all individuals… not just employers. As Americans we must recognize this issue for what it really is, find our voice and take a stand for freedom and individual rights…. Again. Also, we must start using the Healing Arts in our medical care plans. The doctors who use a variety of approaches to encourage the body to heal itself many accomplish healing and serving a patient more readily than using only medicine and surgery for a “tunnel vision” approach to health care.
Equal Rights Amendment
-Doctor McNair does believe in equal pay for women; however the passage of the ERA would have far-reaching implications, obliterating traditional distinctions between the sexes. Women would be required to register for the draft just as men currently do and would have to serve in combat just as men must. ERA would also remove laws specifically protecting women such as labor laws in heavy industry and could prevent women from being favored for alimony and custody in divorce cases.
Families & Children
Doctor McNair supports:

-Believes that un-filtered internet robs our children of their innocence
-Parents should be active in monitoring the media to which kids are exposed
-That parents need clear, consistent information about entertainment products and supports a uniform labeling system on all movies, video games, and music products. The 21st Century Media Responsibility Act amends the cigarette labeling act to apply all its warning label requirements to violent or sexually explicit media products.
-Believes in traditional marriage between a man and a woman.

-Supports English as our official language
2nd Amendment Rights
-Doctor McNair supports the second amendment to the bill of rights and private gun ownership. He would encourage swift enforcement of existing laws to get guns out of the hands of felons and law breakers, not law-abiding citizens.
10th Amendment
-Doctor McNair supports congressional action to curb imperial judiciary by refusing to confirm activist judges, withdrawing jurisdiction from federal courts, and repealing federal laws that violate the 10th amendment.
Immigration Issues
- Doctor McNair would encourage improved border security. Our technology is good enough to crack down on illegal immigration. Satellite technology can monitor the border and the illegal immigrants.

-He is a staunch foe of illegal immigration.
Welfare and Poverty
-Doctor McNair supports recent congressional bills focusing on removing restrictions on religious organizations activities, so that churches can bid on government block grants for preforming welfare services.
-He supports the lessening of restrictions on separation of church and state for this purpose, known as charitable choice.
Cap & Tax / Waxman-Markey Cap and Trade Bill
-Doctor McNair would say no to the bill… it is an energy tax in disguise. If this bill is passed, for a household of four, energy costs goes up an average of $436 the first year… energy costs eventually reach $1,241 by 2035. Electricity costs go up 90% by 2035, gasoline 58%, and natural gas by 55% by 2035. Jobs will be lost, averaging 1,145,000 at any given time from 2012-2035. Since farming is energy intensive, that sector will be particularly stricken. Higher Gasoline prices and diesel cost, higher electricity costs, higher natural gas-derived fertilizer costs all erode farm profits, are expected to drop by 28% by 2012 and average 57% lower by 2035. Overall, Waxman-Markey reduces gross domestic profit by an average of $393 billion between 2012 and 2035, and cumulatively by 9.4 trillion. In other words, the nation will be $9.4 trillion poorer with Waxman-Markey than without it. SAY NO to the bill
Energy
-The catch phrase is “drill, baby, drill!”. The U.S. needs some income to become less dependent on foreign oil supplies. Replace the with domestic oil supplies. Open nuclear plants, as a carbon-free alternative to energy needs. Focus in on alternative energy, such as solar power, wind power, and wave power.
Historically, Dr. McNair has seen changes occurring dramatically since 1960. The enclosed chart of history, showing progression from the signing of the declaration of independence until 2009, will reveal a few of the major steps in our move to socialism/communism/atheism, under the banner of liberal or “change”. The people who have done this to America are proud of themselves and we should be assuming some of the responsibility for what has happened. Along with many of us, Doctor McNair has been less than involved in politics. He has let someone else be in control of the government, and now he is promising to be involved inexorably. Professional politicians will soon be gone from Washington D.C. Men and Women seeking a more righteous way of conducting business will be using the principles of the Bible and the constitution to effect this nation and cause changes pushing us to the right way to govern this country.
